I have become the monkey bag mother. My daughter has a tendency to tell me the day before a party that she has been invited. I am really not one for store-bought gifts so there is usually a great flurry (and much stomping of feet) (on both sides) and, hopefully, at the end, a gift someone will love.
Bags are usually my go-to gift since everyone always needs one, can use one and they always fit. The last three parties my daughter has attended she has given a monkey bag. And they have been a great hit!
I used the monkey pattern from the book Quilts, baby (which is one of my favorite quilt books!) and made a simple patchwork bag. Easy!
